I just heard the other day on the Clark Howard radio show that you can still open your doors remotely using the other FOB and a cell phone!
Call the person with the FOB on your cell phone, have them depress the UNLOCK button while holding it close to their phone's mouthpiece whilst you hold your cell phone close to the car.
Wah-lah, just like Onstar, your car doors should unlock!
Of course the downside is (hehee, minor inconvenience), they will be transmitting their memory settings so your radio/AC/seats/mirrors will be set to that FOBs settings.
I haven't tried this yet but if someone would, I'd sure like confirmation.

I was gonna have a heart attack when I saw the topic!
I love my TDT Valet. It ables me to exit my car on an otherwise cramped garage. I used to exit the passenger door before I got the valet. It darn took me some time because I gotta make sure I do not touch anything leather with my shoes (or sometimes I gotta take off my shoes).
How did you come to that conclusion from, "I haven't tried this yet but if someone would, I'd sure like confirmation."
John's/Pewter/Oak/01 I couldn't find it on snopes. What is the exact link?

Use a phone to generate a signal for a remote key is impossible. Their signals are different. Phones can not reproduces / generate the signal to communicate as does the remote. Just because you hear a phones reproduced signal in the ear peice does not mean there is a correct signal present that will communicate as the remote.
