Suggest you (1) check the codes (2) write them down (3) clear them (4) take a short drive (5) recheck and write down any codes that appear, noting H=history and C=current and finally (6) post them.
My buddy and I both had the same problem and we took our cars to the dealer. Low or bad battery sent these codes. I know it sounds strange but they said the batteries were on their last leg. The batterries were at 3 and 4 years old...haven't had any problems since.. Hope this helps.....
Here's what happened to me(posted on another board):
I had the same problem on my 02 Z about a week ago. Came back to my car after shopping, and the car was dead as a doornail, absolutely nothing worked. Triple A came and gave me a jump start. On my way home, the ABS light, then active handling service lights came on. I was like WTF? Then a few minutes later the car starting acting weird and the service engine light came on. I made it home, turned the car off, then back on, but it was dead as a doornail again. I disconnected the battery and took it to sears. They checked it out and told me the battery was no good, it was very weak and there was a bunch of dead cells. Picked up a new battery from Chevy and everything has been just fine.
did it just happen out of the blue?
one time messing around I did couple 360s then the same thing happend, but in the morning the messages was gone. and never came back.So I just hooked up the Tech2 and deleted it form the history
thanks guys; hadn't thought about the battery. i haven't had a chance to do anything to it yet. i hope its as simple as the battery. it may be the original battery as its a gm battery so thats probably a very good possibility. will look into it later though and let ya'll know what i find out.
forgot to mention; i did a couple burnouts the night before after disabling the ah tc button but it never did that before so i'm hoping for the battery to be the culprit.
evry once in a while (3 times a year about) out of the blue I'll get the standard warnings. Every time if I shut it down and quickly restart everything is cool for a while. Next time I'd like to test the ABS when it says it needs service.
same thing happened to me about a week ago. just let the car idle for a little, turned her off for a few minutes, started her back up and no problems since.
This happened to mine occasionally and then became like every 4 or 5th time I would drive it. there was a loose wire that had been frayed under the rear wheel that was making contact.
Same warnings for me for the past week ( service active handling ), ( service abs ) ( service traction control).
Tried all the let it rest, reset and drive for a 15 minutes, disconnect battery...etc. I'll replace the battery tomorrow and see what I get then, since it is 3 years old. If no go then I'll start checking grounds and wires. Not looking forward to that.
