Yesterday I went out for a cruise with the top down and was two for two in the wave department. What's really heartwarming though is when little kids in the supermarket parking lot roll down the window and say "Nice car!".

Tons of these threads

In the bay area here (tri valley) I am lucky to get 50% returned. Kinda unfortunate in my eyes but whatever, I still wave when I can. Seems fellow c5'ers are the most "aware", and the people in the older c4's are the most clueless. Oh well keep the wave, I will be the guy in the sunglasses in the QS z06

When I bought my 1st Vette, '76 Orange MN4 coupe, the dealer informed that Vette owners usualyy wave when they pass each other. On my 5th, '03 AE MN6 coupe, and I still wave.

Actually, the start of "the wave" tradition didn't have anything to do with the Corvette. It began with the first British sports (?) cars like the MG-TC to come into the States. It was an attempt to counter the derisive laughter of American-made car drivers. That was also when the "tradition" of wearing the silly-looking flat tweed caps began.
