garage parking- back in or pull in
for all of us who have a garage, do most of you back your car in each and every day or do you pull it in forward? ive got my garage set up now where i back mine in with the passengers side close to the wall. interested in seeing how others do it and if they have reasons for it. my main reason is its easier for me to judge distance to get it nice and close to the wall if i have that mirror there, just like when i park i look down and get the tires right up against the curb w/o rubbing so im far away from soccer mom in her SUV with careless kiddos.

I have plenty of room inside the garage but only have about 6-8 inches per side where my garage door is - therefore, I pull in.

I think there is a carbon monoxide safety issue here , although slight maybe .
If you start the car with the garage door open and the tail pipe facing out , most of the gases will escape out of the garage .
But if you back into the garage , the pipe is facing the house , and the gases will take longer and have a harder time to get out of the garage .

Depends on which bay you park in. I like to keep the drivers side door on the side with the most space so I dont whack it when I get out.
Also have to park furthest away from the garage entry door to keep traffic to a minimum going by the car. People walk in with carp in their hands and if you are near the traffic pattern the car will eventually get scratched or worse.

Pull in - back out.

I had to literally rearrange my garage because of the length of the doors on the Vette. I moved a work bench so the door would swing into a little pocket between it and some shelving.
I'm finally getting used to judging the long nose on the Vette. I tend to want to park too far forward which can be dangerous with curbs and wheel stops in parking lots. I hung a tennis ball from a string in the garage that hits the HUD display dead center when I'm exactly in the right spot.
I also find I think I am further to the right than I actually am in the Vette.

I back in. I started this because the air damn on the front of my car scrapes on the way in if I pull in, but doesn't if I back in go figure.

I pull it straight in. Allows me to better judge the position of the car in terms of room on each side.

I back mine in....
Then when open my door, it is to the inside of my 2 car garage and has more clearance.
Even with the garage, I keep a cover on my car..... I hate people getting "carp" on my Vette......

Pull in, back out, pull in, back out, pull in, back ou ... Oh, sorry. I forgot where I was for a moment. The tip about carbon monoxide being a safety issue when parking with the exhausts facing the house, is a good one. If you were to idle your car for any period of time in that position it could indeed be dangerous. Anyway, FWIW, because of the sharp incline of my driveway, it would be nearly impossible to back into my garage.
