Something kind of spooked me out this weekend. I will be picking up my first vette from Kansas City this Monday (Easter Monday) and upon phoning Customs to confirm with them of vehicle Export to Canada, they asked for my name, vehicle make and model and the last 3 digits of the VIN of the vehicle.

Well upon hesitating for a few seconds I read them the last 3 digits of the VIN "666"

Kinda Ironic that I will be picking my new vette up on easter weekend and the last 3 digits are the devils #.

Not sure what to think of that, its cool yet kinda freaky at the same time!

Don't worry about it. The number set 666 got a bad rep due to a seriously screwed up translation of the Book of Revelations. The actual number in the original is "661" and is the numerical reduction of the Roman Emperor Nero's full name and who was the real "beast" at the time. Revelations was really a thinly disguised blast at the Romans in general and Nero in particular in the same tradition as Jonathan Swift's Gulliver tales where potential retaliation by the authorities made the authors uses allagories and parables to hide the real subject.
Lazy translators have caused more grief throughout history than almost anyone. One other example, the English translations of the New Testament refer to Mary as a "virgin" but the original Hebrew/Aramaic word really translates to "young woman". "Virgin" is a completely different word in Hebrew/Aramaic. Neat, huh? Oh, and if you take issue with the above, about 15 minutes of internet research will show you the truth.
