I need some help. My buddy has some C6 wheels and tires he'll sell me with 7,000 miles on them, but I have a 2000 C5.
What are the consequences of going from 245/45/17 to 245/40/18 in the front and 275/40/18 to 285/35/19 in the rear? Meaning will they fit?
And will the speedometer be affected?
Also, will the tire pressure moniter still work?
Any and all advice is appreciated.

First of all..
I don't think "true" C6 wheels will fit on a C5.
They make C6 "style" wheels with the right offsets to fit on a C5, but if they're off a C6, I don't think they will work..
Someone else might have to verify this..
