I ran the vinyl letters for a long time on mine and never had one blow off. I bought mine from Corvette Accessories Unlimited and made sure I had the area free of any wax, dirt, etc. I now have some of the brakelight red epoxy letters from MAD and they too have held very well.

I have the same ones. Mine are on a black car and going on two years of Phoenix summers, without a problem. The secret to keeping them in place is surface preparation as mentioned by JD above.
I ordered a set of the Gold letters and have only installed the back set.
Followed all the directions exactly. Cleaned off old wax, etc. All the letters stuck except the double T. I called Corvette Central and explained the situation. They stated that sometimes the letters don't get the proper amount of glue. They sent me a new set and I reinstalled. Have not had any problems with the new set. (By the way, Corvette Central sent the new set right away. Very nice folks.)

Help me out!!
I don't know but super glue sounds like a BAD idea on paint!!
I've used the sticky acrylic letters on all three of my 'vettes and never had trouble with them coming off - after they were on. That can be a chore in and of itself. Using straight rubbing alcohol did not work very well for me: I used denatured alcohol & mineral spirits, both - then I hit 'em with the hair dryer set on "hot." I found that my red letters fade, though.
Then of course there is eBay, but it tough knowing what you are buying there...
They are the best and have the best service. Plus they are a CF vendor. I even saw them help out a CF member that got a defective "R" from Mid America. MAD was giving the customer the run around, so ssinserts sent them a new "R" for free - and the person wasn't even their customer. Now THAT is the kind of company I buy from.
