Hi I am in Northern Cali, Stockton to be exact and looking to repaint my C5 baby. She has so many little kicks and scratches when I wax her I nearly have to take a Valium to settle down. Any idea what this will cost me so I can start putting the money away or get a second job? Thanks!

5k to do it right strip it down ..base it 3-4 coats wet sand in between then clear coat...oh yeah dont forget to disassemble the car like the mouldings door handles rear and front bumper... some times its cheaper to sell the car and buy a lower mileage one...i had my c4 done years ago and it was 7k

Stockton eh? You driving 580 on a regular basis? Nothing tears up a car faster than that road. Big rigs carrying damn near everything from the wharehouses of the valley into the Bay Area. As soon as you paint it, you're going to get another chip which will make you significantly more upset than you are today.
If you do paint it - consider the 3M film to cover the front end. It adds another $600 - $900 to the bill.

Nope, but I think the guy who owned this before me did. I drive it about 2 miles a day back and forth to work on a city street. Doesn't seem that bad of a road. I am planning on taking a second job soon just so I can pay for the new paint job. Here is what it looks like now.
