I believe it allows you to fold the back of the seat forward so you can access the trunk area.

It's the release to fold the seat back forward.

You have to use that lever to move the seatback forward so your passengers can get in the back seat.

I can't say that I have ever used it in my convertible, other than when I was cleaning the interior.

It seems like I'm always putting a camera, jacket, empty waterbottle or something back there. Short enough on room in the interior w/o that crap cluttering it up.

First off , there is never a stupid question, just stupid answers, with that said.

Its the "No officer dont touch that button" button

Or the "No Dear, I dont have a clue How them Panties got Behind there" Button.

Or the Directed towards the Mother in Law,"If you touch that button, your not welcomed in my Home again" button, My personal favorite, its been used allready with success

It allows you to fold the seat forward (to vacuum back there or whatever ... not really room to store anything) so you can return it to the same "tilt" as it was. If you use the lever on the side, it's hard to get it back into the same position you had it in.

On my coupe, the only time I ever use it is when I am cleaning the interior and need to vacuum behind the seat or put leather conditioner on the back of the seat.

My seat moves forward without using that handle, guess mine is broken. Thats why i couldn't figure what it does, because my seat does it without activating the lever.
