I got mine when was 21, I'm 22 now and I've gotten jelous "one upper" jerks that try to get into "my **** is bigger" contests in front of people. I've also had busloads of kids who just want me to rev it at a stop light and go crazy when I do. Thumbs up for the most part, but somethimes people are wired. I've also had a cobra guy stick his tongue out at me recently.....
Mostly, a negative response denotes a very insecure person to me.
Corvettes can stir strong emotions in some people, some are good, some are bad. The have-nots are sometimes very vocal with their negative opinions towards your success, it just comes with the territory when you are a young corvette owner. When I run across these people I just smile politely and move on.

The thumbs down are from the tree huggers who think you burn lots of fossil fuel. A fast car has to burn lots of gass, right? They thumbs down you, get in their Hummer and drive away.
