whoa... whoa....
Do it yourself!
There are a few great write-ups here that will walk you thru it!
takes (for the first time) maybe 3 hours..... after that under 2hrs easy....
do a search for the oil pressure sensor and you can see all the write-ups
and GL!
Also, contact Gene @ Fred Beans, I think the sensor is around 37$ from him...

If you're handy.....DIY and save some cost. Sensors are a pretty common problem and I know I've seen How To writeups.

I love the way these people think they're either attorneys or doctors, and put the screws too you at the rate of some 100.00 an hour.

If you are not comfortable doing it, find another member close that could help.. Not really a big deal....just time consuming. I would NEVER pay that kind of money for that.
Talk about a "stupid" tax........

they charged me 2 hours and part. $200+tax.(labor was $70/hour)
for that, it was better for them to do it then me!

If that is for one gallon of coolant, see if you can bring a gallon in yourself. Would save at least half that cost. But, if you can DIY, save even more.

Take that money, buy a LS6 intake so you can change the intake and new sensor yourself for the same cost and get maybe 10 hp

I just changed mine 2 weeks ago. It's EASY. There is no need for new gaskets, there is no way that you need antifreeze. You dont loose a drop. You dont even disconnect any hoses that are attached to the cooling system at all. Your dealer is trying to screw you big time. What a joke. Tell him to take a hike. I hate when dealers screw people.

Takes about 30 mins now tops.. hehe. It's easy, just dont get a junk OEM GM sender. Get an aftermarket one, it will last MUCH longer. GM's senders suck!

What do they mean by "Environmental Charges"Why an extra. What is in the labor costs. I need a breakdown on this please. Sounds like a major con job.
OOPS!, I forgot..last time a bought a shirt in Penneys , they charged me 5.00 extra for environmental fees. They said they had to press it before they can sell it....NOT!!! Environmental fees..what a laugh
