Default More Bling - This Time The Trunk!!!!

I have been posting a few pictures of the newest bling's recently, along with the story behind them.

Well, this one is great.

The S/O ordered her chrome trunk hinges, and of course didn't tell me.

Well, I fooled her. She had gone to a hair appointment or some such nonsense, and a call from the manufacture of the chrome product called to ask a question or two.

I answered the call and answered the questions, having first determined that she was about to, once again, put more bling on her Vert without my knowing.

Of course I asked the manufacture to send me a set, ALONG with the chrome bolts (which the S/O either forgot, or did not know they were offered).

A few days later the package arrives, addressed to me (of course ).

I open it and out come the hinges and bolts (well, one set came out, I left the other set in the packing material).

The S/O tells me in no uncertain terms that the items are hers - she ordered them.

I point out the package is addressed to me, not her.

Well, mild violence occurs before I finally fess up and tell her a set for her is in the packing material. What I do not tell her is that the chrome bolts for both our sets of hinges are in my hand

So we go off to the garage - fire up the compressor and get ready to install the hinges.

I do my set first (telling her lets practice on my Vert).

Next is her set - but come time to replace the first set of bolts on hers she realizes there is something amiss - her bolts are the old, black OEM ones.

After a LOT of discussion about this matter I fess up, and all is well in the Vert garage haven.

Here are pictures - please note they are a really nice addition (along with the chrome screws surrounding the trunk, another mod she found somewhere).

Enjoy

Looks good. Do you have any sideview pics and closeups of the hinges/screws? These old eyes having a bit of trouble with the details.

As long as the S/O has net access, the saga(s) will continue

I just need to get ahead of her

Take a walk on the wild side, why don't you? Teasing a female is like poking a sharp stick into the side of a hungry lion.....ask me how I know!

Looks great Dennis! I wouldn't mind doing that mod, along with some nice stainless steel fender screws....
