It is soooo damn hot here in Texas already!
Does anyone know if the dividers for the front area and the trunk for the coupe help much as far as air conditioning goes?
Thanks.

Prosecutor. Haven't seen you in a whileHey EG....It's good to see you too. I have not been on the forum very much lately. Unfortunately, I've been occupied with all sorts of unpleasant stuff. I hope that things are going well for you in Florida.

Maybe I have missed something, but I don't recall seeing any partitions/dividers for a coupe - just a vert and FRC. But, if one is out there, I would imagine it would help since you would have less area to cool.

A year or so ago, someone on the CF made a plexiglass partition for his C5 coupe. Not sure how it was fastened other than a pressure fit on the edges. He had some type of rubber weather strip around the edges. From his pics, it looked like it was alittle fuzzy to look thru though.Originally Posted by JDs00PewterCoupe

I've got tinted windows and haven't had any problem cooling my coupe when I'm driving across the hot desert here in SoCal. Mine's very comfortable.
Are you sure your AC is working properly? Maybe you need some freon, or whatever it is that they put in these days.
I'm in central Texas, have only a clear top, and have to turn my AC "up" to keep from freezing my azz off.

my 97 has the glass top and black interior (which gets a bit warm) and tinted windows. the AC is more than plentiful to cool it off. i think something is wrong w/your car....theres not much to cool off anyway and no reason it shouldnt cool it well.
The car cools 48 degrees in the vents...pleanty cool. I think tinting the windows and putting up a winshield screen will help. Keep in mind, the exterior temps the other day were 102 in the shade...in the sun, all day, with un tinted windows is asking for an a## kicking from the heat. We were curious about the divider for two reasons, less area to cool, and less road noise on long trips. Just wondered if there was feed back from using such a set up. But I stand corrected, the product IS For FRC's and Verts only. Hello window tint....
