A great story
I finally got around to showing the vette to a friend of mine by going out to lunch. He works on all his cars but has never known anyone who owns a C5 vette.
When we got there he wanted me to "pop the hood" to check it out. His response was "Holy $hitz this is the real deal." He was convinced the owner before me had painted and bought new parts before he sold it to make it look like new.(he did not)
When we got to my house he was checking out the back end and eventually ended up on his back looking under the car. "I can't believe how well made this car is!" He went on to comment on the transmission and suspension.
Afterwards he said "Now I know why you paid $22,000 for the car. It looks and is built great" Made me feel good to be a C5 owner.

Story, others have said it before me but the C5 is a $100,000.00 car that sold for $50,000.00 All this and miles of smiles.
