c5's fuel tank.....
is 18.5 gallons? when my "low fuel" comes up on the DIC and needle is below the red mark and fill up, i only get around 14 gallons in. theres almost 5 gallons left to fill?

Sounds like mine, too. Frankly, I never run the tank lower than a quarter, anyway. The fuel system is too fussy to risk running out, which is a really bad idea, according to all I have read on both previous my C4 and current C5.

Your fuel pump is cooled by the gasoline... If you want to maximize its life, never let the gas guage go below 1/4 
Beside with gas prices continuing to go up... you lowest cost gas, is the gas in your tank... keep it filled and you will actually reduce your overall costs.
