Ethanol has been in gas as an oxygenate (yields better emissions, better knock resistance) since MTBE was dumped due to its propensity to leak out of gas station tanks and pollute water supplies. The changeover happened about 20 years ago. 10% ethanol has been used since. Where I live, it is in all pump gas.

People who don't understand that a super light car, with a beefy V-8 is going to cruise at high miles with low RPM's and get good gas milage just don't know cars and listen to too much news about global warming or something and don't actually understand the basics of how gas-milage works.

It's not BIG ENGINE = BAD, SMALL ENGINE / ELECTRIC = GOOD like California would have you believe. There is so much more to it.

Nobody asked, but here's my opinion. The Corvette is a premium car. Use premium fuel in your premium car.

I use top tier 91 or 92 octane with an annual bottle of Techron. Regular gas (87) goes in my lawn mower and snow blower.
