Default 50th Anniversary Convertible Issues

Ok friends, 2 new noises! There is an intermittent rubbing/squeak coming from where the lower convertible top meets the pop-up cover...odd, not consistent! I did apply Maguire's to the black rub strip to enhance it, did this provoke the noise? Ideas?? There is also a definite metallic squeak coming from the driver's seat, I can make it happen just sitting in the seat and rocking around; it is either the tracks or the seat back hinges..what do I lubricate these with?

I just returned from an Easter trip to NJ to see our grandkids.....what a cruiser!!
Thanks in advance!!

Last summer I had the same problem with my convertible top squeeking when it was down in the boot. I put a little wax on the rubber window seal areas as they were rubbing when the top was folded down and causing the squeek. As for your seat, sorry I have no ideas there. Good luck!!!

You should be able to slide a credit card between that gap. If not you risk some paint scratches anyway. That might account for the squeak as well. There is a post on how to adjust the top.
