Where do you place a floor jack to lift the front end and once it's jacked up where can a jackstand be put to hold the car up. my 03 needs to have a wheel fixed it will take about ten days up on the jackstand. Thanks.

Here's a picture of the rear........

The front is the same. Use the cross member as the point where you put the board. Use a 23.5 inch 2x6 (pressure treated) on the jack and put the jack stands on each end. Last winter I had mine on 4 stands for 3 1/2 weeks with no problems. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info, but I have another question. How do I get a floor jack in past the spoiler on the front lower valence?

I built some ramps with some 2x10's. I cut a 12" piece and a 6" piece, cut one end of each on a 45, then screwed the two together making a drive up ramp that gets the car high enough to slide the jack under the car.

2 pieces 2 X 6 X 25 inches wood or very hard, dense plastic

4 pieces 2 X 12 X 16 inches wood or very hard, dense plastic (Treated exterior wood works best)

I bought a piece of 2x6x8' and a piece of 2x12x6' at Home Depot for less than $13 and they cut it into the pieces I needed as stated above. If they'll do it, ask them to angle-cut the front piece of each 2x12 to make it easier to drive up on without the wood slipping on your garage floor.

I've used it three times so far and it's easy. Here's a picture of the car on jacks before I changed the rotors, pads and painted the calipers.

In this before photo, you can better see where the front crossmember is for placement of the wood.

Of course....with all those pictures just to demonstrate the lifting, I have to include the one after photo after those disgusting before pictures!
