My wife got overspray all over her 98 at work, and I never used a clay bar before, either. Let me just say that it is nothing short of AMAZING! I couldn't believe it was that easy! The overspray came right off with very little effort. I am now a clay bar guy!!!
I got a new Zaino clay bar that I have yet to use. I have been putting it off, but I guess now that the weather is getting nice out ... I need to bite the bullet and do it! Now I curious to see what it can do for my Vette.
From: Mustangs are like Tampons.. Every P*$$* has one!
so how much did it cost? I have a guy who does it less than a minute from my house for i think $125. Is that way too high, if so. where do you buy the clay??
I just got to wondering.... is this "CLAY" anything special? It seems to handle much like other types of clay at just about any store that seels hobbycraft stuff. .
Wonder if there is a difference and if so, what???
OH...and DO agree.. nothing can match the smoothness of a good clay barred car then several coats of wax.
I test all my car care products on my daily driver ('02 Yellow Monte Carlo) I clayed the entire surface...hood, fenders, doors, everything...the car had almost 95K miles on it when I did it and I think NOW it looks like the day I bought it.
There were a ton of little specs (metal, dirt, etc) embedded that the clay just yanked right out...I followed up w/ some turtle wax and was pretty impressed...

I wouldn't gamble if I was you...probably small differences but very important small differences.
Better question: Is Mother's better than Zaino clay? What else have folks used? I used the Mother's kit and was pretty satisfied.
