Default Engine hood Trim Cleaning

Had it out today and pressured washed as it was starting to go mouldy and dusty, when it had dryed out there wasnt much difference.
Whats the best way to get these things to scrubb up.
Just want it looking nice clean and standard.
Should i spray it with Black car paint? OR will this flake?
Any other Ideas?

The folks over in the Car Care Discussion section of the Forum may be more able to help you on this. Good luck.

Have read on here where quite a few people spray them with plain (non-automotive) flat black paint (like two or three very light coats so as to not get any paint buildup). They also mentioned not to use a brush (at least not stiff bristle of any sort - maybe could use a soft bristle paint brush or better yet compressed air just to knock the dust off before spraying). Hope this helps.
