Friday, I am rolling out of the local ACE hardware right after work and I try to cut it right, but there was little chance of that and I really connected the H-pipe and asphalt good and now I have a vibration.
I have to put the car back on jack stands and work that out. If it isn't one thing, it is another.
Just thought I would share my aggreviation with everyone. Now I am .
Not that anyone seems to care, but I got the car up on the jack stands and found that the rear passenger muffler is just barely and I mena barely touching the bottom on the molding under the vents in the rear of the car. I tried to adjust, with no luck, but hey, at least it gives me a reason to find some BORLAs!
A couple of years ago I had this really annoying "Buzzing" sound at about 1500 rpm. Drove me nutz - and people would look at my car as I drove by with it buzzing away.
Here's what that was:
On the car side of the cats there are two metal strips welded to each cat - about 1/2 inch wide. One had developed a hair line crack. A quick weld ended my problem.
I didn't have a buzzing or any funny noises, just a vibration that caused me to go when I felt it, I have managed to work that out. Things like this can really get on one's nerve!
