Hypertech Question,(Quick)
I have a 99 with a hypertech installed,, My service colum lock come on and I have to have towed to dealer , I,m pretty sure they will re-flash my computer, my question is do I have to remove hypertech program before, or if I get car back can I just plug in hypertech and reprogrm, or will I lose the whole program and have a usless controller,car is going to be towed to dealer Monday, and I,m not that close to it so I need to know asap

You have to return the car back to stock before you go to the dealer. If they reflash the PCM while the HP tune is in there, you'll loose it and loose the ability to use the HP unit until it is unlocked. Which cost $$$ from HP.

True, you need to take it back to stock before the dealer. And with my '02, I had to send the programming unit to Hypertech to get them to reprogram it before it would work with the new re-flash. It was free by the way. Good luck.
