Red Top, want to replace battery and a thought about a red top but read about their failures on forum, just wondering what other people replaced their factory batteries with. thanks.
When I replaced the origional battery in my 1999 coupe, I went with another Delco. The Delco battery I put in my Oldsmobile went 10 years, 10 months before it gave me any problems. I've been very happy with Delco batterys.

no problem for 2 years 11 days, then it died, then Optima told me ( with a real tough s**t attitude) it had no warranty, then I got a 8 year (3 year free replacement) battery with more cold cranking amps then either Optima from Autozone for 60% of the optima cost.If it craps out in 3 years I'll be 100% better off than with the Optima - and I get a free battery. The only down side is that it's not a designer brand - it's just a car battery.

my 5 yr old autozone battery started to crap out so i went to autozone and got another one for almost half of one of the "designer" batteries and its workin just fine.
the yellow top here works great. it matches the car, my headlight dont dim on hard bass hits and its never failed to crank on me...knock on wood like my ac delco did.
I've tried the red top in 3 of my C-5's and to date I've had to replace ALL three! You couldn't pay me to have another one!!! You can forget any help on the warranty.
Buy an Advance battery for half the price and enjoy the ride....Those "designer batteries" are way over rated.
