Default WARNING! learn from my mistake!

Ok...this is simple. Please keep all trash out of your lower windshield erea! You know the place that trash loves to hang out when you open your hood.I do a ok job of that myself but what happened to me was the rubber pipe thst allows water to escape from under the car had clogged up and water came into my car and fried my BCM, Body Control Module. This is very easy to check.

1) Remove wipers
2) remove plastic cover
3) check for trash on the drivers side where you connect your wiper. There is a rubber tube that is under your wiper bolt.
4) save $500.25 for a new BCM!

Mech at dealership told me that there was two rubber tubes. pas and driver side. I could not get to the one on the Pas side. Is there even one there??????????? I'm getting two stories. It is a 1999 coupe.

there are 3 on the drivers side and 2 on the pass side. See Bill Curlee's Sticky in the C5 Tech section for details.

As Stangkiller said, you do not have to remove anything.

Yep. I knew about the three on the driver's side but found out about the others at EG's house. Mine were full of leaves.

I believe they are actualy called utters and a somewhat easy way to get to them is to take off your front tire and then remove about a half dozen screws that hold on the wheel well liner. You will be able to reach up and open the bottom of the "udder" to let out any debris that is stuck.

Well damn! Here I go again! LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER MY CAR DIES ONCE AGAIN! 3 TOWS IN 4 DAYS! This is getting old. Mech called me today and said it needed yet another BCM change! My brand new one was full of water...again. He sad he cleaned everything out good this time. Please make sure your lines are not full of trash!
