Default Halltech cold air mod

Ive seen the thread about cutting the radiator shroud and mounting a Staples tray to get more air into the filter. I like the idea of opening the shroud and using the wiremesh but is the Staples tray really necessary? Id like to just install the wiremesh behind the warhead. Has anyone done this? I still get more air right?

cutting the shroud lets lots of dirt into your engine compartment. go with a MTI, or callaway. the callaway is carb legal.

This is a great mod and will recommend the scoop as it directs an equal amount of air into the warhead for a more effective and efficient system.

And I don't see much more dust that normal I put a few hundred miles since my install and my engine bay is still very clean.

I'll check those out thanks. Adding the wiremesh cutout just seems like a simple way to get a little more air in there without going overboard. Thanks guys, keep the ideas coming. i love the DIY ideas on this site!
