I bought the kit from West Coast Corvettes and I like it. It's a quick easy mod, and best of all - if you don't like it after it's done, it's easy enough to reverse it.
I'll be modifying mine this weekend, bought everything I need from Home Depot. Have seen a lot of pictures and they all look great, if I don't like it on my 2004 C5 then I'll simply reverse the mod. I use a H2O-less cleaner so the puddling and dripping isn't an issue for me.
The weather stripping is a good idea, but I just can't get use to the look.
The flush-mounted look? Or the look of the weather stripping?
Southern Car Parts sells a weather stripping kit that looks very sharp. I was just too cheap-o to use it myself. Actually, I'm not sure that it would work with flush mounted lights because I think there may be a slightly larger gap between the light assembly and the cavity when the light is out at the edge like that.
it's cheap, easy, helps keep the lights area cleaner, and looks good. And you can reverse it in about 10 minutes if you ever change your mind. Go for it!
try as I might, the stores in our area do not carry the seal shown in this thread..anyone fix me up?? BTW the taillight seals mentioned work fine with the flushmount kit.
I did mine with the spacers from Home Depot and the Half-round weatherstripping. Couldn't find black so I got grey and a black sharpie. A couple passes with the sharpie and looks like a million bux. I think it looks better than stock and easier to clean. If you have a black car you know what I mean.

Grumpy, shoot me a PM with your address and I'll send you some...
I just did mine on Thursday , I also installed the "halo" LED lights . These lights are so bright , and flush mounted they look great . I purchased both the lights and flush kit from an east coast corvette shop .
Here is a close up .
I'm happy ..

IT IS A WASTE TO CHANGE TO THE LIGHTING IN THE REAR,,YOU LOSE MONEY,,,YOU CHANGE STOCK AND IT LOOKS FUNNY,,THE AMOUNT OF DIRT AND WATER IN THE LIGHTS IS MINIMAL AND IT CLEANED EASY YOU DON T KNOW WHAT TO CHANGE NEXT BUT KEEP DOING IT AND YOU WILL LOSE MORE MONEY ON YOUR CAR WHEN THE DAY COMES TO SELL IT,,,,,,YOU BEEN WARNED
