It's really the dealerships call...Some race oriented Corvette friendly dealers have no issue with headers, you can count the number of these dealers on your thumb.
Like Evil-Twin said it all depends on the dealership. I had my warranty voided by GM on my LS1 Trans Am because I brought it in with ONLY a lid and drag radials. Then again I've heard of guys getting warranty work with a full heads/cam set-up. It's pretty much a crapshoot.
The new-car warranty may be voided for aftermarket replace3ment items that deal directly with the engine exhaust manifolds. But if you think about the number of engine parts that deal with "exhaust", you could be in for problems with dealers.
Check with a dealer and ask what they say. Maybe if they do the install, you may not have to worry about warranty issues.
The federal Magnuson-Moss act deals in part with aftermarket products installed on a vehicle and the factory warranty. Might read up on it to see where you might stand.
Seeing some of the other issues folks have had with dealerships and warranties, you should make sure you find the friendlies out there. I like ETs post, you can count those on your thumb.
Theoretically, it should only affect exhaust related warranty repairs. Chuck Hutton in Memphis (a forum dealer, BTW) did warranty repairs to the EBTCM (ABS computer module) an my 02 under the GMPP extended warranty after LG Pro LTs had been installed, no questions asked.

, lucky me I found it! ET's right check with the dealership before modding if you don;t want to void the warranty. Here in Dallas we have lots of dealers so it was a matter of shoping arround until finding one that is mod friendly, Huffines Chevorlet of Plano.
