We used to think gas was gas, just different octane ratings. Now who knows what you'll get, but you can be sure it will cost more and give worse mileage.

I have a feeling that we are going to have to get used to using ethanol blended gas here in Missouri. There is a bill pending that would mandate its usage in all grades of gasoline - and it looks like it has the support to pass.
Supposed to "lower" emissions but we have to burn (i.e. buy) more fuel to drive the same distance cause the mpg goes down...Something doesn't add up here
I'd be interested to know what the emissions are for the same car traveling the same route for 100 miles would be for both types of gas.
This reminds me of the government mandated 1 gallon per flush toilets. They wouldn't flush and you had to flush them 3 or 4 times and they used twice the water the government was trying to save. They are all pinheads.
