[Z06] Flight Recorder capability?

Flight Recorder capability?
I'm a first time Corvette and ZO6 owner and I have a question about the functionality of the computer and memory chips on board. Does the car keep any log of key parameters such as; rpm, road speed, key temperatures and pressures for some pre-determined period of time? Does it log extremes on any key parameters or does it just log diagnostic codes. Thanks.

Unless they changed the computers, all GM cars in '00 or + (or was it '01?) were supposed to be able to record RPM/speed/ and I belive temp. in case of an accident.
Of course when this was announced there was some major backlash but, I don't think that changed their minds. Hopefully it did, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hmmmm.... it's definately been changed since the origional idea (it would constantly be recording, but would only keep ~15-30 seconds). I MUCH prefer this one where it will only record in the event of a frontal crash. Of course I do fear that now that it's there, in the future they could change it back to always recording, which would then lead to police wanting "readers" so they would have even more evidence against those awful speeders.
