I went out to the car this morning and it would not start. Partial power to the car : Headlights work, no radio, no other lights, no remote locks. I gave it a couple hours and makes a loud clicking sound when it tries to start (better than the nothing i got earlier) I'm thinking a drain killed the battery. Is there anything special I need to do to jump start it ? Or that I need to be concerned about?
Thanks in advance.
Edit : The real oddball thing is the headlights still work...
Very similar thing happened to me.
. .and yup . .it was the battery. Get a optima red top and you are as good as new .. hope you remember your radio lock code
Radio lock codes? Got it used, I have no idea what those are. Heh I didn't even know it had them. How do I find that information out?
Edit : Also isn't there some kind of retraining process for the computer when the battery goes dead? Or rather is there a method of driving you need to adhear to while it relearns?

As far as the Radio lock codes go ... there is a posting in the Tech Tips Section on how to get around it:
As far as the driving afterwards, I believe there is a relearning process that must occur and you probably should drive "normal" for about 40 minutes or so ... I'm sure others have a better handle on that aspect. Good luck.
