[Z06] NewBie Checkin' In.

Toyo proxies are probably what will go on when the time comes to replace my original tires.(7800 miles old).

Make sure you like "the look".
They have three "Very Wide" (one 1/2", two 5/8") center grooves, offset to the inside. Think "Formula One" race tires.
And, a somewhat rounded outside shoulder that doesn't look "real aggressive" to bystanders.

Link to a picture from Discount Tire. I ordered mine through the local Discount Tire, after a slow leak "repair" found three dry-wall screws
rather that the one I'd seen in my rear F1. One near the corner, so the tire was "destroyed".
One front and the other rear already had "one dry-wall screw repair", which drops my mountain road confidence. And, the next repair would drop their "legal" (Goodyear) speed rating. I live on a dirt road in a high construction zone, and it's like a minefield. So, I decided to get four new ones. And, I always buy the "full replacement" warranty. In my situation, it's paid off once on my pickup, and once on my Jeep.
Vette Tip: I always take the tire/wheel in separately, just for the above situation. And wash/clean it well. I get better service, I think.
And, better to have my Vette home on jackstands. They can't "legally" repair the "sidewall situation" tire, and return it to you "fixed".
I did look at other brands/prices/availability with the manager.
PS2s took one week to arrive because rears were only in Ohio.
Very good service, VERY good at balancing. VERY good at fixing slow leaks. They know I'm a car/Jeep/truck guy.
Regardless of their looks, I think PS2s work "very well" on the mountain twisties.
Performance in the dry is "somewhat more than adequate" for a pure street tire.
I've never "tested wet".
