...(snip)...Is there anywhere online to plug in the VIN and get the build info?
TIA......
None that I know of. You didn't say what model year C5 you are looking at, but for earlier model year C5s, the Service Parts Identification (RPO) label is located on the underneath side of one of the rear compartment (usually the left I believe) lids. Did you look there?
Any GM dealer can inquire GM's Vehicle Inquiry System (VIS) for the car's history and build info if you can just get them to. You might try asking the service department folks at one of your local GM dealers. Too, several members here also have access to GM's VIS. Submit another post requesting a GM VIS inquiry for the car's history/build info along with the VIN and hopefully one of these members will be along shortly and run it for you.
Looking at a C5 with no sticker in the glovebox. Is there anywhere online to plug in the VIN and get the build info?
TIA......
What year C5 is it? Early ('97-'99) have the RPO codes on the bottom of the drivers side rear storage compartment in the back. You could try to message forum member Sponge Vette, he has access to the dealer information and can run the VIN for you.
