Default I am back! Need some help though...

Dumped the 04 Cobra last year, and bought a new 2005 F150 Supercrew 4x4. Got the bug again and bought a 2002 Z06 w/6300 miles on her. Great car! Two issues though. The clutch does not engage until the pedal is half way up...not sure if the car just sat too long and I need to flush the fluid or what. Also, on the right side of the guage cluster, the #1 Fuel and #2 Guages buttons do not light up when the lights are turned on, since LED's do not burn out, I am wondering if this may be a wiring issue? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

The clutch grabbing at half way is not an issue. Mine grabs further up than that. I have driven a few and they all seem to grab at differnt places. As far as the gauge lights I have had mine apart to put on the trim rings and the light that illuminate the gauges are Black lights. It is possible that this is blown or has a loose connection. Let me tell you that you have to take apart alot of the car just to get to the gauge cluster including dropping the steering wheel shaft. Have fun!

Thanks. This is the first manual I have ever owned where the clutch would not engage until the padal was half way up, that is strange.

My clutch engages almost at the end. When I let my son drive the car, he put it in reverse and kept reving the engine. The car wasn't moving and I told him he probably didn't get it all the way in reverse. He tried again and it still wasn't moving. It turns out he was used to his Nissan clutch and he figured that since the car wasn't moving with the clutch half way out, something must be wrong.

Your clutch sounds normal.

Thanks for the reassurance guys, I feel much better now!

Does anyone make a quadrant kit for these things so you can shorten the throw of the clutch pedal. There is a kit for Cobras that does this and basically makes the throw about half of what it is stock, much more fun to rip through the gears.
