I'm running 19x30x275s in front. I think you could easily run 285s.

imho, you really don't want to run wider than 275's in the front and I would keep the profile at about 30. The perfect setup for this according to most manufacturers is 19x9.5 - 275-30-19.
My new setup should be arriving soon which is:
275-30-19 on 19x9.5
305-25-20 on 20x11
This is a pretty decent ratio for a C5.
