LED C5 TAil Light Install [PICS]

These are a few quick pics I snapped. Will show close-ups of the lights and a couple of comparison shots. Unfortunately, my camera didn't like all the red light from the tail lights, so they look really funny and I'm not posting many right now. As soon as I get the camera set to a way I'm happy with, I'll take pics with the LEDs on and post a few more pics.
Also, I had flush-mounted my stock taillights, but for this install, I didn't have any more weather-stripping to put on the new LEDs so I installed them non-flush, like stock.
Without further a due... pics of the install.
The lenses are not scratched or cracked, it's reflections from the daylight outside the garage.
Each led is set back into something that I can only think to discribe as a dimple with sharp pointed edges coming out.
Ever wonder exactly what each LED looks like? Wonder no more...
The backs...
The removal of stock...
Remove the stock bulb.
Pop in the plug from the LED light.

Plugged in...
But don't forget to insert the stock light socket housing into the back of the LED tail light housing and twist (kinda like you do with stock lights). This locks the light socket housing in place.
Side by side comparison (lights off, brakes off)
One of four (left most is LED, other three are stock) Lights off.
Two of four (far left and far right are LED, other inner two are stock) with brakes on.
All four LED lights installed (lights off, brakes off)
I'm sorry I don't have any good pics of the lights on. Like I said, I'm not happy with how those shots came out. Will try to adjust the camera settings and get some really good pics of the LEDs tonight.
Enjoy!

None taken. I agree with you. The pictures don't do the lights justice. Everyone should know by now that accurate lighting is hard to capture on digital cameras, especially when we're talking about artificial light. I haven't had them on long enough to even see what they look like at night. Hopefully I'll see tonight!
I mainly posted the pictures because I figure there are others like me who had no idea exactly what was involved in installing LED taillights. We always hear, "It's easy", but until I see it for myself, I just don't feel satisfied. Hope others like me will benefit from this, and not be turned off because the pictures don't seem to show much difference between stock and LED. Hopefully I'll have pictures to illustrate the difference tonight. Heading over to Vetterable's house in a few minutes and should be able to get some side by side pics of his stock tail lights and mine.

I have had them for a while now and they are gorgeous. They make the car's rear end look even hotter.
The "sharp pointed edges" are the housing for the LEDs that act as an amplifier for the light. You can see each LED is in somewhat of a box that reflects the light on all 4 sides, making them super bright.
You've got it all now, killer HIDs up front and beautiful LEDs out back.

On another note, your thread pics showing your new HIDs pushed me over the edge to getting them, can't wait to join the club!

BTW good thing you didnt keep the flush mounted taillights. No offense to anyone that has them but I cant stand them. Makes the back of the car look really goofy
