I just had the right side front wheel bearing replaced. The left one was replaced last fall. I started noticing that when making a left hand turn (not speed related) I would hear a roaring noise. When I turned right - no noise. Since I have extended warrenty off to the Chevy dealer that I trust and they confirmed the right bearing was toast.
What bugs me is the Vette only has 37,750 miles on the ticker - makes you wonder if the sealed bearing are designed correctly.
yes, that noise is typical of a failing bearing. Makes me wonder if the bearings you got were packed with grease. In our shop, we have seen TONS of malibu, monte carlo, and lumina OEM tie rods fail prematurely, in which I believe these rods did not come with grease from the factory(and are not greaseable). Makes me wonder about the if this was intentional??? What a great money maker GM would have over the course of 5 years......
just wondering if you bought the car new??I have the same problem & the lady I bought it from had hit a curb, as evidenced by the marked whl.,also on the right side. The left is also good....

Sometimes thing just fail prematurely. At least you are covered by an extended warranty. Doesn't make up for the aggravation, but the money impact is lessened.
