you can buy them. it's an OEM part.

Just received the C6Z06 rears from Fred Beans. Have not found anything for the front -yet. Preliminary fit looks like it won't be to hard to trim then for the C5. Have never liked the "mud guard" look and these will do the job w/o that look.

I did that for the first 1500 miles on my car. I felt that they were a PIA and gave them away in a pay it forward. I ended up going with the 3M material all along the rockers. I have over 21K miles on it and love it. No marks in the paint and I live on a dirt road.
