Leaking ac compressor
Help. Just turned on my ac for the first time last week, no go. Turns out I have a large leak on the compressor, shop tells me this is a $500 part plus $400 labor. Any better way to go?

you can try the C5 parts section.... for either a new or used one....
I bought a brand new one from a CF member last year for $250. Had a local mechanic that does a number of our club cars do the R&R charged me $275.... total $525

Thanks, I'll try that. When he told me the price I was debating just how hot it really gets in New Jersey and remembering the old 2-60 airconditioning. (two windows open @ 60 mph)
