Default Big Brakes!!!!!!!!

Some one help me find some big brakes. I dont want a BBK for 5-6k for the whole kit. I really just want some BIG RED calipers. If i need to buy rotors i will but if not then the better.

Right now I have eradispeed +1 in the front and stock size in the back. Will the Wilwood or C6Z calipers fit on these?

Secondly where can I get just the wilwood calipers? Like I said this is for bling factor so dont want to hear about functionality although the weight may have some affect on my decision.

Default rotors

Unless you have after market 18" rims on the front the C6Z06 calipers won't fit. The calipers are too big for 17" wheels and they rub on some of the 18" ones.

The C6 Zo6 calipers and brake set up is the way to go... but you just cant get larger six piston calipers without brake pads and rotors..
compaired to 5 or 6 grand @ 1600 for the set up at Fred beans ( he has them in stock ) they are the best deal going...
Gene Culley at fred beans
gculley@fredbeans.com

you are not going to get larger calipers ( BIG Brakes)and still be able to use your old pads and rotors.

You can go with your 12.75 front eradipseeds and add the New 14 inch + 2 eradispeed for the rear..for around 500/600 dollars. This is what I have and they do look nice.

If i could afford to also upgrade to larger wheels i would go with the C6 Z06 brakes. LG has a Wilwood 6 piston kit that you can use with stock rotors. You might need to run a wheel spacer depending on what factory wheels you have. You can also upgrade to slotted rotors.

Thanks shane. I have some Z06 motorsports (black) that will be for sale when my car gets back from MTI. One is bent slightly but other than that they are in good shape. only about 2k miles on them. selling them for 1100. send me a p.m. if your interested
thanks for the link

one question though do you have to get new rear rotors? or is this just a kit for the front of your car?

That's Not a side skirt.. that is a factory rocker panel with 20 hours of my handy work,....fully functional brake ducts... insert is from Breathless performance product... it took me 20 hours to glass, mold and hand sand them to this final look, Ive had them on my car for six years .. the car has over 58,000 miles on it in this picture...
here are my Front Eradispeeds ( picture taken last week ) these rotors are five years old and have 55,000 miles on them

Now if only someone w/ CCW 19" setup and the C6/Z06 Big Brake Kit can chime in and tell us their experience if any rubbing or spacers caused any issues.

I have seen them on another car before, one that was in the shop at MTI in houston. He had a tigershark body kit so I assumed the side skirts were tigershark too. They look every nice. Wish I knew how to do that kind of work.

c6 z51 caliper brakets and rotors, will set you back about 400 or so and give you a real increase in brake torque and wont cause the wheel clearence issues of a 6 piston kit

I thought about these but didnt want the hassle of trying to find the rears to match and then get new rotors and then paint them red (must have red). If you can give me some info i would appreciate it. I could get that dilusi link to work.

I tried C6Z brakes on for size last week and they will physically bolt on with no problems. However my rims and most other C5 wheels will not clear these collosal brake calipers. I have 19" HRE wheels. To get custom wheels to work you must get an offset that puts your wheel hub an additional 5/8" outward from your rotors. With an offset like this you can forget about having any outer lip on your wheels. The good news is that the C6Z rotors, calipers, and brake pads will cost you about $2000 installed.
