I think they'll heat the glue up a little with the dryer, then take some stout fishing line like 30lb test or so and see saw the line back and forth cutting the moulding away from the car. They then take their thumb and try to remove most of the glue this way, and then some adhesive remover to get the rest off. Then a good coat of wax. I've never done it, so maybe some that have can give you some more tips.
You need a hair dryer, fishing line, and a glove..I took them off my 99 that way.. Fist you heat the molding about 4 to 5 inches at a time, then you saw through the warm glue with the fishing line(pulling the molding toward you, away from the car) slowly. I took my time and went very slow so I wouldn't damage the paint but didn't care about the molding...Once its off I peeled the excess glue on the doors with my fingers(time consuming). Then I cleaned the glue left with WD40. After that a nice wash and a coat of Zaino and your vette is finally rid of the hideous moles that hid her beauty... Good Luck...
Thanks again guys for your helpful advise!!! much appriciated!!! I will have them off today! Those ugly moles
As for what I will do with them I am saving all the original stuff I take off incase I sell I will give the next owner the option to make the car stock again.
becarefull you dont burn the paint with the heat gun or blow dryer
and just have something on hand to take all that clue or sticky stuff off paint ......G/L
