Default Advice needed for vent door actuators

I could really use some advice from someone that may know of a inherent GM problem. My 1998 C5 has air that blows out of all vents regardless of which direction I set it to on the dial. From doing some research, I think it has to do with the vent door actuator. Does anybody know where this component is, and how to gain access to it in the car? Lastly, are these controlled by a vacuum hose or hoses that I should check? Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Sean

Default I believe...

it's behind the dash in the radio/heater control area....not 100 percent sure, but I do know it looks like a printer cartridge (best description I can give)...I think I have the old one they replaced when mine went bad last year in a cabinet in the garage...if I can find it tonight, I'll take a picture and post it so you know what you are looking for at least. I saved it because I am not paying 500 dollars to unplug the bad one and replug in a new one if it ever goes out again....and I wanted to remember what I was looking for.
Now that I think of it, I have a service manual and it would probably show exactly where it's at...I'll check that too and post it for you later tonight.
