Harland Sharp roller rockers
I've been having a hard time tuning my car, and decided to recheck the compression today. I found cylinders 1 and 7 to be at only 25 psi!! Took off the valve cover and my eyes bulged out. I had 3 rockers lying adrift under the valve cover. Both for cylinder 1 and the intake for #7 cylinder. The bolts that hold the rokers to the head snapped off at some point. This of course caused other damage to the rockers them selves. Luckily they snapped up high at the rocker, and I was able to get the remnants of the studs out. What CRAP!! Pay almost $500 for rockers and they do this. So I just bought a set of Comp Cams shaft mounted rockers for it. Hopefully that setup will work a bit better and be able to handle the spring pressures and lift I'm using.... All in all I guess I'm pretty lucky. The pieces parts seemede to stay up in the head and I was able to get them all out. Are there any other rocker setups out there that are better? I actually got the green light from the wife to get the best (it happens when she knows the block itself cost over $6000 and wants nothing bad to happen to that)...
