HUD Question
I've seen just about every other question here, but this one has me stumped.
I normally drive with my HUD configured to the preconfigured page with RPM,Speed and Fuel. Lately when I start up in the morning it is where I left it. Once I actually start the car, it changes to the oil pressure display on the right. The Average mileage is reset to zero, and the odometer is displayed on the DIC.
Oil pressure is normal ~40# at idle. I'm using the recommended oil, Mobil1 5-30.
If I start it at lunch it behaves normally.
Maybe a battery issue?
Is there a way to set the HUD page as the default page?

Mine started that crap...after starting the car, it wasn't at the settings that I had it on the day before. Happened 2 or 3 times...then the car wouldn't start. - battery -

I had the same problem when my Optima battery (the 3rd one in 4.5 years) died on me last year. I replaced the Optima w/ a Sears DieHard "Gold" and the problem went away. You need a new battery.......
