The sound is a little better than that on a stock system for the coupe/vert. You will save a little weight over the other system too. Other than that, probably not much of a performance gain.
The sound is only SLIGHTLY louder when you want it to be. Idle sounds much better. This system really wakes up as throttle opens and rpms increase. Add to this: no Borla drone(yes they do too!), perfect fit/easy install, seriously light weight and ususlly<$450 price and these start looking like a real bargain. Love mine. If you get them and don't like them, they sell quickly for what you paid for them.Unfortunately little if any HP gain.
Tell me if i am wrong, but I here the ZO6 TI's wake up witha set of headers. At least, I hope so because I have the TI's and plan on a set of headers this summer.

I just bought and installed a set of Ti's from another forum member. At first, I was a little underwhelmed with the sound. They sounded too quiet to me. The difference between the stockers and Ti's seemed pretty negligible. Even at WOT I didn't think it sounded any louder than the stockers. A slight more burble at idle, but very slight. Then, I had my 13-year-old son get behind the wheel and blip the throttle up to 4-5k RPM while I stood behind the car. Changed my perspective entirely. I went from being mildly disappointed to completely satisfied. It it made my son's day, too.
It seems to me that the tips do a good job of directing the sound behind you. Almost too good. It's nice and quiet at cruising, which is what I wanted, particularly with my vert, but when you stand on it, everyone around you will know it. I don't think headers are CARB compliant, but that's what I keep reading. That long tubes will really wake up the sound of the Ti's. I'm glad I got 'em.

Well said, but they still weren't loud enough for me, so I traded my Ti's. I will tell you this, they are light, very light. There is little to no gains in the hp departmetn with these, it is the weight loss that makes it a gain over stock mufflers.

Yes, you will love the headers with the Z06 Ti's. I went from completely stock, to LT headers with stock catback, to headers with Ti's. It's nice and mild at idle and low throttle (< 2K rpms) but anything above 3K and it's just about perfect!

My ti's and headers (see isg for info) are the perfect sound for me, mellowt at idle, on the hwy and cruzin, screaming at WOT.
