Default Highly Modded vs Insurance

http://www.prostreetinsurance.com/

Im gonna call this place tommorrow and see what kind of rates I can get. They have connections to many insurance companies that seem like they may be worth looking at. It cant hurt anything the worst is not being covered at all.

The sport and muscle car industry is way to big to not have someone that will insure our highly modded cars. It may cost more but in the long run is worth it if you are in a wreck to not have to rush around trying to scavenge all your salvage parts.

Post back what you find out. Haven't heard of this company before, but could be a good deal.

I called parrish heacock insurance this morning and this is what I have found out.

1) You have to have had a liscense for at least 10 years. 26 yrs old

2) No major traffic violations in the last 4 years.

3) You must really know the value of your car because their adjusters may not account for it, depending on the modifications.

4) Power adders and street rods are fine but they do not insure after market stereo. Body work, wheels etc ARE covered.

5) There is a mileage limit of 3500 per year so if you drive your car a lot this is not the plan for you.

6) The car is not covered in on the track accidents.

I have State Farm and this is the exact same thing I was told by my agent and also talked to the underwriter for the policy. They told me just to keep all my receipts and documents and there would not be a problem. The agent also advised me to bill myself for all the labor I did to the car which is 95% of the work done. I am well over 100k WITHOUT my labor involved.
