I decided the look that I would try is to have the lower rear facia in chrome or some sort of thin mirror acrylic. Anyone know of anybody who does that type of work?

Contact Vstella forum member because he makes that in vinyl and vinyl does have chome vinyl.
Try it to see if you like it and then do a true chrome later.

Ya might blind the hell out of someone if the sun is shining at the right angle
let me tell you something you very well may be right... its something that my brother and I even looked at we put tin foil on the bottom to see if it would- he has a vette too and it didnt look like it was an issue but the last thing that I need is for some low riding rice burner to come up from behind get in an accident as a result of the rear facia and hold me liable for his accident... ugh the whole thing is playing out in my head now... I may dump this idea quickly

While I don't really think that chrome belongs on the bumpers of a modern car, I don't recall chrome bumpers ever blinding me.
I'm waiting for someone to post that old pick of a flat chrome bumper bolted to the back of a mag red C5.
If you're talking about "chroming" the bottom of the fascia that people are typically painting black, then I think that might be cool. I wouldn't try to really "chrome" the plastic though. I'd look for a mirror finish vinyl that could be removed if you don't like it. On a black car, I think it'd have the potential to look cool.
Great! I said "cool" twice in three sentences! I've really got to start reading these things before hitting the "submit" button.

see Im getting mixed reviews .. good bad and ugly lol all is great because Im a little confused. What I may do is get the vinyl coating and double side the tape with velcro for the effects only then after the reviews and feeling I'll see what Im going to do. I dont want the car to look like something out of the 70s series of Shack I mean damn its my vette we are talking about.
