but i will only tint my back one because where i live (canada here) they will give you a heavy fine for tinting your sides
That sucks... so the law says no tint on the sides whatsoever? Well, I'd still go ahead and have an installer put in Llumar UV shield on the sides. Simply omit the sticker on the bottom right and it'll look factory (only ~80 IIRC), but reject over 99% of UV and still help out a bit in thermal. Doesn't look quite as cool though. Now go write a letter of complaint to those hoser representatives!

What are you talking about? I live in Canada, Toronto, and have tinted EVERY car I've owned. True, they will ticket you and make you remove your tint if you black out your front side windows.
By black out, the law states that a passing vehicle should be able to see the into the drivers window...Essentially, what this means is they want to be able to see the driver. So, the solution, is to deep tint the rear and light tint up front. I generally go with 20% in the rear (allows 20% of light through) and 35% up front (allows 35% of light through). Have used this combo on 8 cars over 14 years and have never been pulled over once. I do know of those who go with a 20/20 combo that do get pulled over.
MYVETTEDREAM's ride looks like a 20/35 combo and the rest look like 20/20's.
IMHO you'll be making a huge mistake if you don't tint the fronts as the rears would be blacked out and the fronts won't be...you'll have that factory SUV look.
I think night driving would be unbearable as low as the vette sits if the back hatch wasn't tinted, and I couldn't fishbowl the sides either, go TINT! You won't regret it unless the law gets after ya!
Huh ??? The whole idea of tinting is to keep it cooler !
Secondly, I vote to tint. I have done every car I have owned. It looks cool and keeps you cool
Too dark a tint attract those nasty little rays that heat things up. You know a black car with black interior is hotter than other colors, think about it.
Lighter tints (colors) are more effective at reducing heat.

I grew up in Arizona, I know about black and red being the "hottest" colors. Darker tint keeps the interior cooler by blocking the rays from heating the interior parts. It's the glass that gets hot with tint and not the inside
Lets go stand out in the desert over the summer. You can hold a clear umbrella and I will hold a black one and see who stays cooler.
