Default Help with tire size

I am looking to upgrade my wheel/tire combo and I have located a set of 18x9.5 and 18x11 wheels for my C5 vert. My car is lowered on stock bolts. What size tire would work together with this combo? I run the car 99.9% on the street and drive it all year round, of course only when the roads are dry. I currently run 255/40/17 (Nitto 555 Extreme ZR's)and 285/35/18 (Nitto DR's) on the GM Magnesium wheels, which are 17x8.5 & 18x9.5. Also would a 305 or 315 work out back without sticking out and looking foolish? Thanks

So long as the offset of the wheel is correct, yes you can run 315s without sticking out and looking foolish. See my pics for mine.

Your pics look great. What size wheels are you running front & back? What size & brand of tires? Are they sticky enough? I'm currently running 285/35 Nitto DR's out back. Thanks

Let's see, the fronts are 18X10 and the rears are 19X11.5. I'm currently running the same Eagle F1 SC EMT tires on the C6Z, 275/35 fronts and 325/30 rears. My car is currently lowered on stock bolts, and they stick They even work well in the wet! We're having quite the wet run here in the northeast, and the car has been driven every day. And thanks for the comments, though I need to take new pics since I've polished the wheels (again)

O.K. So I guess that 265/35/18 up front and 315/30/18 out back would work with no modifications required and these are the sizes that I should be looking for?

Those should work great. Some members are running the 315/30-18 rears on their Z06 rims. Don't forget to post pics once you have 'em mounted!

I have 18 x 10 fronts, 11's in rear. I'm running 265/35-18 front and 295/35-18 rears and they look perfect in the wheel wells. The tires sit exactly even with the edge when looking from above. Also, my car is lowered and nothing rubs.

Folks are running 295's on factory 18x9.5's so I am surprised that you didn't go wider with 18x11's. I figured that the little extra width would gain you some extra traction?
