I was at a local Toronto dealer this evening to check out 2002 Z06 pricing. I was told that the base price is $70,780 CDN. I seem to remember that 2001's were about $67 K or so. Did they really go up nearly $4K or is my memory failing me?
Also, has anyone heard about any Ontario dealers discounting '02 Z06's? I know coupes and verts are being discounted $4-$5K.
I really would like a Z06, but it is tough for me to justify the additional cost if they are not being discounted at all. For now, I'm waiting to see what happens as the economy slows down further and Winter sets in. BTW, The dealer that I was at (Wilson-Niblett) had 2 used '01's for sale and 2 new '02's that were sold. I fell in love with a QuickSilver '02!!!
I bought my 2002 EB ZO6 at schlueter's in Waterloo, Ontario-my hometown, should receive it by 2nd week of sept(car was built on monday). They discounted the price by $2000 off list. they didn't know the price of the car when I ordered it (mid June)but said they would take $2000 off list anyway because of my preferred customer status.
I called many dealers in western canada before ordering my z06 and they all wanted msrp.I just chose the dealer that had the best chance of getting a car for me.
Thanks to all for replying. As much as I love the Z06, I've been offered $7,000 off a coupe or vert from a local dealer in the late fall and find it hard to justify paying an extra $13K or more for a Z06. I think I'll hold on for a while and see if dealers start to negotiate a bit more once the snow flies.
