Default Help understanding the mods mess

Please help me. I am a proud owner of a 98 convertible leaving in Mexico city.
Here life is not as simple as in the states. We have to order every peace of equipment then import it find a guy who knows mechanics above aberage and cross your fingers that everithing goes as planed.
Do any of you guys can put a list on where to start upgrading to ad power, in a comprensible way? by that I mean cost of mod v.s. hp gains or handling gains. Starting with the least expensive and up.

Best mods are free.

The "cut airbox lid" mod is free and easy. I will let others chime in on exactly how to do it

Let me complicate things a bit...

Adding horsepower parts is not the only way to add to the "fun-factor". Think about the suspension too. Upgrading the 'base" sway bars on your 98 Vert to Z06 or Z51 sway bars will make taking those corners and freeway ramps something to look forward to when you wake up in the morning. They're easy to have someone install and not too expensive. Do a search to find out where to get them. I think the sponsoring dealerships on this forum are the best place to buy them from.

I think you have to upgrade the endlinks too. Older C5s (1997-2000?)had a cheaper material than late model Vettes (2001-2004?). Do a search on that too.

Oh yeah, and don't drink the water in mexico.
